No hot water: what to check first
- Is the boiler running and set to give hot water? Check the timer and the hot water setting.
- Is the immersion switch on, and has the fuse spur or breaker tripped?
- Is the cylinder thermostat turned down?
- Is there water in the attic tank? A stuck ball valve leaves the cylinder with nothing to fill from.

My immersion keeps tripping the switch. Is it safe?
Leave it switched off and ring Arek. A tripping immersion is usually a failed element, and it needs replacing.
How do I know if my cylinder is leaking?
Damp on the hot press floor, drips from the fittings at the top, or rust stains on the cylinder. Turn off the immersion and ring Arek.
Can you fit a new cylinder the same day?
That depends on the size and type. Arek tells you when he can have the right one when he gives you the price.
