Why the pressure is low
In most Irish houses the hot water, and often the cold to the shower, comes from a tank in the attic. The only push is gravity, so a shower on the floor below gets very little. A pump fixes that. On a mains-fed system, low pressure can be the supply, a half-closed valve or old pipework.

Will a pump work with an electric shower?
No. Electric showers run off the cold mains and heat the water themselves. A pump goes on a mixer shower fed from a tank.
My shower pump is very loud. Is it dying?
Often it's air in the pump or a worn bearing. Arek checks which before he suggests a new one.
We're on a well and the water keeps cutting out.

Can you put in a whole-house pump?
